“A” Newport Beach Restaurant Week

Now's the time to take advantage of delicious dining during Newport Beach Restaurant Week through Sunday, Jan. 26. Foodies can choose from more than 60 participating restaurants offering three-course prix-fixe dinner menus for just $20, $30 or $40 per person and/or two-course prix-fixe lunch menus for only $10, $15 or $20 per person.

Our pick for Newport Beach Restaurant Week is A Restaurant’s special three-course lunch menu for just $20 per person available through Sunday, Jan. 26.

The first course is a choice of roasted red pepper and goat cheese soup or chef’s choice charcuterie and cheese plate. The entrée is a choice of blackened swordfish sandwich (red wine onions, roasted tomato, butter lettuce, piquillo pepper, spicy remoulade on a ciabatta roll) or roasted duck salad and lentils (slow cooked duck, chilled lentil salad, arugula, frisee, shaved Bermuda onion, baby beets, romano and balsamic vinaigrette), or pan-fried pork cutlet (fried egg, sautéed spinach, mustard spaetzle, sriracha). The menu ends on a sweet note with vanilla wafer banana pudding.

A Restaurant offers modern American food in an upscale yet relaxed atmosphere with red leather booths and dim lighting. A was built in 1926 as a roadside diner, The Arches. Today, the restaurant and bar offer the best in retro chic ambience and exceptional food, classic cocktails, wine and service.

Open 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday, 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday. A also has a Social Hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.
