03.27.13
It’s officially spring break season and the perfect time to escape for a family vacation. With gas prices on the rise consider an eco-friendly, low cost, and fun for everyone’s spring vacation and ride the rails to North San Diego.
Metrolink just partnered with Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa to offer Southern California families a getaway package that includes hopping on board a train in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino or Ventura Counties destined for Oceanside and free shuttle transportation to the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa.
The one-night stay vacation includes round trip Metrolink tickets, complimentary in-room DVD player upon request and all children under the age of 12 eat for free for each paying adult. Package pricing begins at $159 and must be purchased 10 days in advance.
With ocean views, rolling lawns, nearby beaches and a private entrance and free shuttle service to Legoland, it’s hard to beat the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa for the entire family, plus it’s adjacent to The Crossings at Carlsbad Golf Course.
There’s no reason to leave the resort, it boasts an excellent restaurant, Twenty/20 Grill & Wine Bar featuring sustainable and organic locally-grown produce entwined with globally inspired seasonal cuisine, and an ultra relaxing boutique spa, Ocean Pearl Spa, offering organic skin care, customized massages, and body treatments for men and women.
