CORDEVALLE FOR SECLUDED GOLF AND WINE ROMANCE

If your kind of romance includes golf and wine, then think CordeValle. Hidden in a secluded valley in the eastern foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, CordeValle is a haven for golf lovers with a world-class golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., plus a luxurious spa, decadent dining, a vineyard and a winery.
CordeValle’s Romance in the Valley Package includes one night accommodations, a $100 resort credit, rose petals at turn down, a wine tasting at Clos La Chance Winery and a continental breakfast. Prices start at just $375 per night for double occupancy.
CordeValle Resort is sprawled over 1,700 acres of lush meadows, tree-dotted hills, seasonal creeks and 85 acres of vineyards that is home to Clos LaChance Winery. The 45 guest rooms feature fairway rooms, bungalows and villa suites with golf course vistas, goose-down comforters, gas fireplaces, flat screen TVs, private patios, oversized bathrooms, whirlpool tubs and walk-in closets.
The jewel of CordeValle is its championship-level golf course, which was designed by renowned designer Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The 72 par, 18-hole golf course roams over 260 acres. The course, though challenging enough for expert players, is also suitable for less seasoned golfers. The course boasts 360-degree views unobstructed by any buildings. Golf at CordeValle also features a 10,000 sq. ft. golf shop, golf instruction taught by PGA member professionals and a professional caddy program.
Dining at CordeValle is sumptuous as well. The resort’s signature restaurant, Il Vigneto, presents fresh local cuisine including classic Italian dishes with contemporary Californian inspiration. Lion’s Peak Grill and One Iron Bar is located in a serene outdoor setting and serves light fare and cocktails from sunrise to sunset.
Sense Spa at CordeValle offers specialty treatments including a Turkish steam room and Vichy shower, plus a full range of massage, facial and body treatments. Men’s and women’s locker rooms each feature a steam room, jacuzzi, and lush private garden terrace and lounge. Guests may jog or hike the miles of trails in the nearby hills, punctuated with chaises for memorable rest stops.
The celebrated Clos LaChance Winery supplies their vintages to CordeValle guests and restaurants and offers wine tastings, catered dining and private tours of the 85-acre vineyard.
