Makeover Takeover for Moms at Los Cerritos Center

Celebrate Mother’s Day and experience the Los Cerritos Center’s transformation at Makeover Takeover on Friday, May 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. This special event will highlight the newest stores at Los Cerritos Center and invite shoppers to celebrate mom with beauty activations, giveaways, incentives and more. 

On Friday, May 6 go “Bananas for Beauty” with an evening of makeovers, nail polish changes, beauty consultations and more. Receive a spring make-up “touch-up” from MAC Cosmetic artists. Get your lip print and learn about your personality traits and something about your future just by the impression from your kiss. Satisfy your sweet tooth with Hannah’s Bananas sweetly adorable frozen treats, tickle your taste buds with GODIVA Chocolate, and enjoy a “Makeover Magic” mocktail from the cotton candy soda bar.

On Saturday, May 7, the party continues with “Beauty from the Inside Out” from 10:30 a.m. to noon. There’s a complimentary mother-daughter yoga session courtesy of Stella Luna Studio, and then get hydrated at the Vita CoCo Bar. Get inspired by healthy living expert Anita Avalos, who will give tips on how to find inner beauty starting with how you eat. Join the Crown Collective to create a live floral crown, and experience your choice of mini-signature facials compliments of Sephora.

At the Makeover Takeover from noon to 5 p.m. receive a full-face spring makeover from your favorite brands, mini—facials from SkinFood and hydration consultations from Khiel’s. Then experience makeover-on-the-move with Origins, Kiko Milano, Clinique and more. Receive a swag bag as you stop at each station and have an opportunity to visit the SmileBooth Photo Lounge to show off your new spring look. Join Alicia Clapper Designs for fun DIY projects for kids and grown-ups alike.

Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. Moms can have fun with The Poem Store’s Jacqueline Suskin “Poems + Purses” and receive a customized poem and have the handbag expert share what personality traits are revealed by her purse and its contents.

The first 300 to visit Los Cerritos Center will receive a complimentary long stem rose to celebrate your day and the women in your life.

Proceeds from Makeover Takeover will benefit Girls on the Run, a transformational learning program for girls age 8-13.  Makeover Takeover celebrates the extensive renovation of Los Cerritos Center and welcomes the exciting new retailers. Opening Day Blaze Pizza in San Clemente

Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza, the LeBron James-backed fast-casual artisanal pizza concept, is opening a new location at the Outlets in San Clemente on Thursday, May 5. To celebrate the grand opening, the restaurant will offer FREE build-your-own artisanal pizzas on Friday, May 6 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. to anyone who follows Blaze Pizza on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook.

At Blaze Pizza you can customize order one of the menu’s signature pizzas or create your own, choosing from a wide selection of fresh, artisanal ingredients – all for about $8. The generously-sized personal pizzas are then sent to a blazing hot open-flame oven –and ready to eat in just 180 seconds.  At each Blaze Pizza, dough is made from scratch using a recipe developed by executive chef Bradford Kent, which requires a 24-hour fermentation period to produce his signature light-as-air, crisp crust. 

Almost all of the pizza and salad ingredients are free of artificial flavors, colors, preservatives and fillers and for pizza fans with specific dietary needs, Blaze Pizza offers gluten-free dough and vegan cheese.  The new San Clemente restaurant will also feature a selection of wine and craft beer.

The restaurant is located at the Outlets at San Clemente at 225 W. Avenida Vista Hermosa.
