OC-Based IVI Vision, Nominated CSU Fullerton’s 5th Annual Family Business Hall of Fame Awards

Orange County-based IVI Vision is nominated for California State University Fullerton’s 5th Annual Family Business Hall of Fame Awards. The award is provided by the Center for Family Business, an educational forum under the direction of The Mihaylo College of Business and Economics. The event will be Tuesday, March 19 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum and includes keynote speaker Andrew Taylor, who is a 2nd generation owner and Executive Chairman of Enterprise Holdings.
The Center’s mission is to help educate business families in Southern California so that they can continue to grow and prosper while keeping harmony in the family. The Center carries out this mission by offering direct access to resources with the intention of providing structure and comfort in finding solutions to member’s worries or concerns.
This event recognizes the outstanding achievements of those family businesses and individuals in Southern California who continually demonstrate a commitment to world-class results and success.
IVI’s owners Patrick & Alison Moriarty are committed to the importance of family and it’s strongly incorporated into their business and is expected to increase in the future. They’re also committed to offering the highest quality eyewear brand with customer satisfaction above all else.

Write the Perfect College Essay at Essay Sanctuary

Newport Beach-based THE KEY Academic Advising offers students expert advice with college admissions. It’s a comprehensive and individualized resource to navigating high school academics and tackling the complicated college admissions process. And now, its founder Eva Scalzo has created Essay Sanctuary, a weekend retreat May 17-19 at Korakia Pensione in Palm Springs where high school junior can learn all the secrets to writing the perfect college essay to gain admissions to their dream school.
Students will be able to get live feedback while writing their Common Application Essay months in advance of the application deadline.
High school juniors and a parent can enjoy the extended weekend that includes:
- A serene and peaceful environment which allows for physical, emotional, and spiritual clarity while fostering the creative process. The sanctuary daytime program is for the teens only.
- Moroccan tea service each afternoon.
- Swag bags and snack baskets.
- A delicious made-to-order cooked breakfast daily.
- Guest speaker.
- Sound bath meditation and guided spiritual meditation sessions.
- Essay brainstorming exercises.
- Educational sessions on all the ins-and-outs of writing the perfect college essay.

- Live essay feedback and edits all weekend.
- Sunrise outdoor yoga on Sunday morning.
