To the rescue is the TIYA, designed by former David Yurman design director, Walter Chefitz, who just debuted a high fashion wearable notification bracelet. Today, it’s a finalist in the “World’s Most Beautiful Wearable” competition at Decoded Fashion in NYC.
TYIA blends high-end jewelry design with cutting-edge technology to create a beautiful and useful accessory. Tyia allows wearers to filter their mobile notifications (Apple iPhone 4s and all subsequently introduced models, and Android phones that support Bluetooth 4.0) so they only receive the most important or relevant mobile notifications. When alerted, they can easily feel how important a notification is through a custom vibration, and can also be alerted through colors or patterns that shine through a gem fused with mother of pearl to provide a soft glow.
The metals used for Tyia are 18k Gold and Rhodium (for Silver) plated on a stainless steel composite and genuine leather bands. Additional options can include premium precious metals, multi-colored semi-precious stones, and easily interchangeable band colors and styles.
