Sugar ‘n Spice Hosts “Top Dog” Costume Contest

Balboa Island’s beloved Sugar ‘n Spice, the Original Frozen Banana Shop, is hosting a special celebratory day to honor its patrons’ furry pooch companions. On Thursday, January 14 from 3 -4 p.m. patrons can bring their dogs to Sugar ‘n Spice for a free “Puppacino” aka, a sweet dog-friendly treat, and take a photo in front of their famed “Banana Bob” sign to enter to win the inaugural Sugar ‘n Spice “Top Dog” award.

To enter to win, patrons simply need to post their photo of their dog in costume in a feed post or story on Instagram and tag @sugarnspicenb with #snstopdog. For patrons who aren’t able to make it to the shop, they can simply post their photo with the tags specified on Instagram to participate.

Voting will be completed exclusively by the Sugar ‘n Spice Instagram Followers and will begin at 2 p.m. on January 14 and end at 2 p.m. on January 15 with the winner announced January 16th! The first-ever Sugar ‘n Spice “Top Dog” winner will receive a $25 gift card for treats of their choice from Sugar ‘n Spice.

Jonathan’s career as a magician, actor, television host, magic consultant and producer, spans nearly 40 years. On multiple occasions, he has graced the covers of MAGIC Magazine and Genii—the premier publications in the magic world.

Levit is highly respected in all areas of magic, including sleight of hand, mentalism, and magic history. His work alongside Neil Patrick Harris and his recreation on stage as Howard Thurston has gained him respect amongst his peers.

In addition to performing throughout the world and on every continent (including Antarctica), Jonathan regularly offers lectures to magicians, discussing method, performance, and psychology. He has acted as host and emcee for Magic Live!—the premier magic convention in the world—in front of thousands of magicians gathering in Las Vegas.
