CHEF CHALLENGE COMPETITION at Anaheim gardenwalk

Anaheim GardenWalk is celebrating its second annual Chef Challenge cook-off on Sunday, October 14 from 3 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
During the event, sponsored by DiningOut Magazine, top chefs from seven notable Orange County restaurants will prepare their signature dishes to compete for best-in-show honors. The chefs will be assisted by local high school students carefully selected from culinary arts programs throughout Orange County.
FREE Chef Challenge food samples will be available to the first 600 registered attendees on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. Attendees who wish to sample the food are asked to sign up at the registration table near the Concierge Kiosk in front of McCormick & Schmick’s at 2 p.m. to receive their voting cards. After sampling the food, they are then asked to vote to decide the winning dish.
Additional family-friendly activities, which begin at 2 p.m. that day, include live music, face painting, balloon twisting, henna tattoos, a photo booth and the center’s renowned “Art on the Walk” art exhibit. 2 p.m. – Registration for Chef Challenge.
2 p.m. – Art on the Walk and free family activities.
3 p.m. – Chef Challenge begins.
5:15 p.m. – Chef Challenge winner is announced.

MCM Capsule Collection at Pop-In Nordstrom

This month, Pop-In@Nordstrom is offering an exclusive MCM capsule collection including more than 100 unique items celebrating the heritage, history and future of luxury brand MCM. Delving into the MCM archive, Olivia Kim, Nordstrom VP of Creative Projects, reimagines some of the brand’s most coveted and iconic styles including collaborations with Everlast, New Era and Champion. The shop will be available in select Nordstrom stores such as South Coast Plaza and online at Nordstrom.com/pop through November 11.
