The 4th Annual SoCal VegFest will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 21 and Saturday, Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa. The one-of-a-kind event will include free plant-based food samplings, musical entertainment, guest speakers, cooking demonstrations, raffles, interactive booths, food vendors, humane organizations, an enjoyable children’s area with a variety of engaging opportunities especially for kids, and more.
The purpose of SoCal VegFest is to introduce Southern Californians and others to the benefits of healthy conscious living. The SoCal VegFest is run by dedicated volunteers as a project of Animal Protection and Rescue League.

General Admission 1 Day Pass: $5 (Limited pre-sale online tickets until gone - then $7.50 until the day before the event - $10 at the door): Access to all food, non-alcohol beverage vendors, shop and speakers.
General Admission Weekend Pass: $10 (Pre-sale online until gone - then $15 until the day before event - $20 at the door): Access to all food, non-alcohol beverage vendors, shop and speakers
1-Day VIP: $25: access to all GA benefits + separate VIP entry plus all day fast pass and unlimited sampling of alcoholic beverages. Does NOT include swag bag.
Weekend VIP: $50: access to all GA benefits + separate VIP entry plus all weekend fast pass, unlimited sampling of alcoholic beverages AND swag bag filled with vegan goodies.
FAST PASS: allows you to skip the GA food lines so you can get your food quicker. Food vendors will have a separate fast pass line. FAST PASS included with VIP tickets.
OC Fair & Event Center is at 88 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa.

The LA Times’ Taste Giveaway

We’re offering a giveaway for two tickets to The LA Times’ The Taste at The MET in Costa Mesa on Sunday, Oct. 21 from 1 to 4 p.m. Presenting sponsor, Travel Costa Mesa will also add some fun swag, too. You’ll get a Costa Mesa tote and some other fun items.

The Taste festivities continue on Sunday afternoon with cooking demonstrations to be announced, signature dishes from the participating chefs and purveyors, and tasting-sized pours of wine, beer and cocktails. Restaurants include Blackmarket Bakery, Chunk-N-Chip, Clay Oven, Descanso Restaurant, Electric City Butcher, Haven Gastropub, Irenia, Leatherby’s Café Rouge, Pie-Not, Tackle Box and Westend.
Travel Costa Mesa has partnered with nearby hotels to offer special packages that include a pair of tickets to The Taste with each night’s stay and a chance to explore more of the area’s distinctive cuisine, world-class performing arts venues and extensive luxury shopping options.
The Taste’s debut in Costa Mesa will take place at The MET over three days, Oct. 19, 20 and 21. Admission to each event includes unlimited tastings from dozens of restaurants, sips of seasonal cocktails and cooking demos.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County is the event’s charity beneficiary. Tickets are $100, and a $10 discount is available exclusively to Times subscribers. Details, tickets and hotel packages: latimes.com/TheTaste.
