A Tribute of Rememberance-Honoring 9/11

Join the Sons of the American Legion-Post 291 in Newport Beach on Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 3 to 7 pm. as they honor our country and all the brave men and women who dealt with this devastating event on 9/11.
There will be a short speech by dignitaries, including Mayor Diane Dixon, Mr. Benjamin Yu from Irvine who is currently running for Assembly and other esteemed First Responders in our community.
The family-friendly event is free and guests are encouraged to bring their blankets and lawn chairs for an enjoyable afternoon.
So Petty Band, the cover band for Tom Petty will be playing music throughout the afternoon and early evening. There will be numerous food trucks, including: a Coffee Truck, Sugar and Spice (with dipped bananas, frozen cheesecakes, and Balboa Bars), A Taco Truck and a Hamburger & Hot Dog cart.
There will also be vendor booths with information and valuable resources including Red Cross, Suicide Prevention, T-Mobile with offers for first responders and veterans, Humana and a specialty t-shirt booth.
