THE CELLAR RESTAURANT PRESENTs EXCLUSIVE ROTHSCHILD WINE DINNER

09.17.19

Wine lovers are in for an exceptional treat as The Cellar Restaurant, the country’s only Rothschild Ambassador and one of OC’s most acclaimed fine dining establishments will present a five-course wine dinner featuring rare selections from Chateau Lafite Rothschild. The dinner will be held on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m.  Space is limited and reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve.

The dinner, prepared by Executive Chef Scott Rosales will begin with a stone fruit salad paired with a 2017 Bordeaux blanc followed by poached white fish dumplings served with a Champagne rose. Next, guests will enjoy slow-cooked casserole of rabbit sausage with white beans and herbs paired with a 2016 Le gende Saint Emilion. The entreé, filet of beef a la Rothschild, is to be served with a 2014 Blason d’aussie reserve and a dessert of meringue floating in vanilla creme Anglaise will be paired with a petite pour of Grand Marnier.

The Cellar was established in 1969 at the historic Villa Del Sol in Downtown Fullerton.  Owners Ryan and Brianne Dudley have maintained the 50-year-old restaurant’s Old World grandeur. Items from its classic French menu are served under a silver dome in an atmosphere reminiscent of Pirates of the Caribbean – no coincidence as it was brought to life by the same artisan craftsmen who designed the well-known Disney attraction.

The Cellar’s wine list, which is curated by sommelier Robert Barron, Rothschild's first American ambassador, is vast and offers many Barons de Rothschild selections. Its cocktail list features classic and original beverages and is overseen by G.M. Rich Ohtsuka.  The Cellar received the recognition of ‘Best Bartender’ and ‘Best Cocktail Bar’ by OC Weekly and OC Register Voters.

305 N. Harbor Blvd. in Fullerton. 714.525.5682.
