Working Wardrobes First Veteran Fundraising Event Since Devastating Fire

Working Wardrobes, a 30-year Orange County nonprofit dedicated to helping people get back on their feet and back in the workforce, is holding its first veteran event since the devastating fire destroyed their headquarters on February 2. The 3rd annual VetNet Walk in Their Shoes event will take place at Lakeview Park, near Irvine Lake in Silverado, on Saturday, March 28. It will feature a 5K walk, fun run, and finish line festival. The event begins promptly at 8 a.m. Companies and organizations interested in participating in the event can designate a team captain, name and register here workingwardrobes.org/walk.
The fundraising goal of the event is $100,000! There are still opportunities to sponsor a team or sponsor a mile marker. For those interested in sponsorship, please contact Marissa Chery, Working Wardrobes Event Manager, at MarissaC@workingwardobes.org.

The Finest Hour: Celebrating the Music That Ended WWII

The music of the Greatest Generation inspired a nation with its everlasting songs of love and romance. And on Wednesday, March 4 at 8 p.m., you can see The Finest Hour: Celebrating the Music That Ended WWII at Irvine Barclay Theatre in Irvine. Featuring the iconic tunes of Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, and Frank Sinatra, and such timeless classics as “As Time Goes By, I’ll Be Seeing You, and “That Old Black Magic,” The Finest Hour will make you want to “Boogie Woogie” all over again!
This special concert features performances by Davina and The Vagabonds and Hot Club of Cowtown.
Tickets: $35-$45
Gold Seats ($100) includes VIP center orchestra seating, admission to the private Gold Bar starting one hour before the performance, and complimentary wine and beverages.
