Johnny Rebs’, a longtime Southern cuisine restaurant in Orange, Bellflower and Long Beach, now offers an extensive selection of made from scratch party packs for crowd pleasing parties at home, events or office meetings. The new Take Me Home menu is available for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Family-size palette-pleasers range from Johnny Reb’s signature items like fried green tomatoes (pictured above), cheddar filled mac n cheese, smoked BBQ ribs, brisket, banana pudding, or their new whole smoked chickens, succulent and served with house BBQ sauce . For early morning meetings, pick up a Johnny Rebs’ breakfast spread with delicate stuffed breakfast biscuits, or for evening events, the appetizer trays offer comfort foods, like pulled pork, special recipe sausages, fried chicken and other sides.

Andrei’s Conscious Cuisine & Cocktails in Irvine kicks off its first annual Barbecue Week now through Saturday. Chef Yves Fournier will create special barbecue dishes including beef brisket with pomegranate glaze and horseradish cream, spicy bacon potato salad, chipotle Caesar salad, red chili and honey salmon, peanut and green apple coleslaw and chocolate-chili bread pudding. You can also enjoy specialty cocktails, paired wines, or its new craft beer, Somersault Ale brewed by New Belgium Brewing, and jazz guitarist Bruce Wall will be performingThursday to Saturday.
