Sweeten The Dog Days of Summer at SusieCakes
The dog days of summer are here, but SusieCakes at SOCO is making August a little sweeter with their donation drive benefitting shelter animals. For the entire month of August, customers who donate a new or gently used blanket or towel will receive 2-for-1 cupcakes. All donations will go towards Operation Blankets of Love, an organization that creates comfort items to dogs and cats in shelters. Limit one dozen free cupcakes for walk-in customers only (no pre-orders).
Terrarium Workshop at UNI Home Store
Sometimes it is easy being green! Uni Home Store at SOCO Collection invites you to enjoy a complimentary Terrarium Workshop on Sunday, August 16 at 1:30 p.m. Guests who purchase a Terrarium Starter Kit ($35) will have the opportunity to participate in this free hands-on class all about creating popular arrangements to bring a little green to your home or office. Each starter kit includes a glass container, plants, stones/pebbles, and a squeeze bottle. Seats are limited, so visit the Uni Home Store showroom today or call 949.251.1771 to RSVP.
Thirsty Thursday Wine Tasting at Greenleaf Chopshop
Join Greenleaf Chopshop at SOCO Collection this summer for their Thirsty Thursday Happy Hour Wine Tasting, hosted every other Thursday (August 13 and 27) from 6-8 pm! Enjoy five varietal wine tastings paired with gourmet appetizers from Greenleaf’s talented culinary team. Tickets are $20 at the door and $15 if you preregister by emailing ocevents@greenleafchopshop.com.
Preserving Summer Canning Workshop at Surfas Culinary District
Save the flavors of summer to enjoy all year long at Surfas Culinary District’s canning workshop on Saturday, August 22 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. In this hands-on class, Surfas’ Chef Instructor will teach you how to create best jam, jelly, preserves, and pickled vegetables. In addition to learning step-by-step canning basics and how to customize recipes at home, each guest will be able to take home a few jars as well. Perfect for gifting or treating your family, saving your favorite seasonal ingredients is easier than you think! Tickets are available through the Surfas website for $65/person.
Sip & Savor Whisky Tasting
Raise a glass to summer nights at Pirch’s Sip & Savor Whisky Tasting on Wednesday, September 2, from 6-8 p.m. Join Pirch for a special evening of whisky tastings hosted by Ray Pearson, whisky educator, collector, and connoisseur of fine single malt whiskies. Guests will enjoy gourmet appetizers and savory bites, complimenting each whisky for a delicious culinary experience. Tickets are available for purchase online for $100/person.
