We were fortunate enough to attend the last cooking demo at True Food Kitchen in Newport Beach with health expert Dr. Andrew Weil and Chef Michael Stebner, co-creators of the menus at True Food Kitchen. Not only are Weil’s lectures incredibly informative, afterwards you can taste their delicious and healthy creations. The duo are returning for a True Food Kitchen cooking demo and presentation at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20.
Dr. Weil will cover veganism and vegetarianism and their positive impact on your health and well being, while Chef Stebner will demonstrate True Food Kitchen’s new fall appetizer, roasted beets and mozzarella in agrodolce.
After the presentation you can sample a variety of vegan and vegetarian food and drinks served buffet-style including apple carrot ginger tonic; herb hummus with crudité; shiitake mushroom lettuce cups; roasted eggplant pizza; tuscan kale salad; Andy’s favorite “TLT” with veganaise; and butternut squash pie with coconut whipped cream.
Cost is $45 per person, and does not include tax or gratuity. RSVP and prepayment required, and a 48-hour cancellation is required for refund.
True Food Kitchen in Fashion Island at 251 Newport Center Drive, in Newport Beach. RSVP at 480.751.2176.
