Find Out What’s Springing Up at SOCO!

It sure feels like spring in OC and during the next few months, five exciting new retailers will spring into the popular SOCO Collection - Costa Mesa’s must-see destination for food, design, and shopping. These new additions will have something for everyone - from the athlete, to the designer to the dessert lover - SOCO has it all!  Read on to learn more about the new shops in town, and make sure to visit SOCO this season!

Two top design showrooms - Environment Furniture and The Shade Store have already opened their doors at SOCO and have been busy ever since. Environment’s eco-friendly designs have caught the eye of celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio and Julia Roberts, while the Shade Store has been handcrafting custom window treatments since 1946.

Coming Soon to SOCO:

This April, the popular active wear line DYLN Inspired will be adding another location at The OC Mix at SOCO Collection. DYLN’s apparel using innovative bio-photonic technology is a favorite at yoga studios across Orange County and is a perfect addition to the wardrobe of any fitness enthusiast or on-the-go woman.

After 13 years as a successful Laguna Beach culinary school, Laguna Culinary Arts will move to SOCO in early April to create their new institute focused exclusively on wine. This new location will offer weekend wine tastings, as well as classes led by master sommelier Peter Neptune. Whether you’re a beginning wine aficionado or lifelong enthusiast, Laguna Culinary Arts Wine will soon be your go-to spot for sipping and shopping.

Another top retailer joining SOCO’s impressive collection of design experts in late April is Famosa Tile, a premier purveyor of stone and tile relocating from its current Costa Mesa location. With a carefully curated selection of products from around the world, the knowledgeable team at Famosa can take your home to the next level.

Adding to SOCO’s line up of local businesses in July is Cisco Home, a sustainable furniture company that already has retail locations in design hubs such as New York and San Francisco. Cisco handcrafts all of their designer furniture in L.A. and will share the new consumer showroom with Stark Carpet.

And dessert lovers -- make sure to visit SusieCakes, coming to SOCO later this summer. Using only the freshest and finest ingredients available, this all-American bakery makes delicious cakes cookies, and bars that will rival any family recipe. SusieCake’s SOCO location will also feature an open outdoor space perfect for enjoying your treat and a little bit of fresh air.

Reggae Thursday at Lulu Too

Lulu Too in Costa Mesa will be celebrating that it’s Thursday, with live music from 4 to 7 p.m. from the reggae band Coastal Dwellers! Lulu Too receives new inventory almost daily from labels including James Perse, Splendid, Free People, Go Couture and shoes like Superba.

One of the things that separates Lulu Too from other boutiques is the philosophy the co-owners, Alli Dafferner and Maggie O’Melveny, live by and share with their customers. They believe in giving back to the community that has been so supportive of their endeavor.

Whether it's Cause T-shirt Tuesday (wear any t shirt supporting a non profit and get 20% off with 10% going to that weeks charity), hosting book signings, college care package nights, or fun Champagne Fridays, Maggie and Alli seem to find a way to make every shopping day at Lulu Too fun.

Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
