This October, fashion and film unite at Fashion Island’s 13th annual StyleWeekOC, in partnership with the Newport Beach Film Festival. From October 16-20, enjoy a weekend of film screenings, shopping, red-carpet events, and exclusive celebrity Q&As. Discover the synergy between fashion and film through cinematic storytelling. For details, visit StyleWeekOC.com.
This year’s StyleWeekOC will celebrate fashion, film, and luxury lifestyle shopping with experiences including fashion shows, celebrity panels, and red-carpet moments.
Highlights include the Newport Beach Film Festival’s Career Achievement Award in Costume Design honoring Colleen Atwood on October 20, featuring a Q&A and costume display from films like Beetlejuice and Masters of the Air. Atwood, a four-time Academy Award® winner, is celebrated for her work on Alice in Wonderland, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Fantastic Beasts, among others.
On October 19, NYT bestselling author and TV personality Stassi Schroeder will host a Q&A moderated by Emmy-winning host Keltie Knight, followed by a book signing for her latest release, You Can’t Have It All. Schroeder is best known for her breakout role on Vanderpump Rules and her popular podcast Straight Up with Stassi.
Academy Award®-nominated costume designer Arianne Phillips will also join StyleWeekOC on October 19 for a conversation moderated by Anna Wyckoff, communications director of the Costume Designers Guild. Phillips will be honored with the Creative Visionary Award, presented by actress and producer Aubrey Plaza, for her innovative contributions to costume design.
The same day, Emmy Award-winning choreographer and actress Julianne Hough will step into the spotlight for a celebrity fashion discussion moderated by Lindzi Scharf, founder of TheRetaility.com. Hough, known for her Emmy-winning choreography and work on Dancing with the Stars, will share her insights on fashion and her latest projects.
On Sunday, October 20, nine-time Emmy Award-winning designer Bob Mackie will appear on the NBFF Main Stage for Bob Mackie and Friends, joined by TCM’s Drew Carver and the legendary Carol Burnett. This special event offers a rare chance to celebrate Mackie’s contributions to fashion and entertainment.
