Major props go to OC-based photographer Paul F. Gero, who has raised more than $35,000 for Children’s Hospital Orange County (CHOC) in three years with his annual Kids of Orange County Charity Book Project. He’s currently working on the 2011 coffee table book that showcases children photographed in OC. And 100% of the $100 per family session fee goes to CHOC. The goal for this year’s project is to photograph children from 100 OC families to raise $10,000 for CHOC.
Gero donates all photography and image production from the custom portrait sessions. Each family's portrait will be included in the full color, fine art, coffee table book and they will receive one complimentary gift size print (up to 8 x 12 size).
Since Gero launched the project in 2008 (under the title of "Kids of Ladera Ranch"; it was changed to "The Kids of Orange County" in 2009) he has photographed more than 500 families. For more information on the project, or to book a session, contact Paul F. Gero Photography at 949.388.5588, or 310.344.9692.
