Pop Pie Co. Celebrates 8th Anniversary with Exclusive Chef Collaborations and Special Giveaways
Costa Mesa's Pop Pie Co. will celebrate the 8th anniversary of its first store on Tuesday, October 8th, with special one-day anniversary pies created in collaboration with San Diego chefs. Originally opened in San Diego, Pop Pie Co., an all-day pie shop, has expanded to four locations, including Costa Mesa, which opened in 2019. Known for Executive Chef Gan Suebsarakham's acclaimed all-butter crusts, the pies are filled with globally inspired sweet and savory ingredients, drawing influences from Australia, Asia, and Europe.
October 8 holds special significance for owners and married couple Steven Torres and Chef Gan Suebsarakham. The business opened on this date in 2016 as a tribute to Chef Gan's Thai heritage, where the number eight symbolizes infinity. This year, Chef Gan’s mother will fly in from Thailand as the guest of honor to celebrate the milestone.
To mark the occasion, Pop Pie Co. will partner with some of Southern California’s top chefs, including Brad Wise (Rare Society San Clemente/Trust Restaurant Group), Phillip Esteban (White Rice, located in BLVD Market in Montebello and across San Diego), and Charlie Knowles (Bica San Diego). These special pies will be available for one day only on Tuesday, October 8th, at the Costa Mesa location (270 E 17th St) starting at 9 a.m. until sold out.
Additionally, the first 25 customers at each Pop Pie location will receive a complimentary savory pie with any purchase, and surprise merchandise giveaways will take place throughout the day to celebrate the anniversary.
Sunday - Thursday:
9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Friday & Saturday:
9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
270 E. 17th Street, Suite 17, Costa Mesa (949) 791-8133
