Celebrate Valentine’s Day at The Resort at Pelican Hill

Still making plans for Valentine’s Day? The Resort at Pelican Hill at Newport Coast has made it easy with a variety of Valentine’s Day inspired offerings through February. In celebrating of Valentine’s Day, it’s introduced a wine-inspired couple’s massage at The Spa, and a hands-on culinary academy available every Thursday evening in a Villa kitchen, and intimate dining options, including the Dinner of the Senses served in a private poolside cabana.

The Valentine’s Chardonnay Body Butter Massage features a dry brush exfoliation, Swedish massage techniques and a silky smooth Chardonnay body butter, followed by a romantic bath for two. The massage includes complimentary Prosecco, chocolate truffles and fresh strawberries.  Prices range from $425 Mondays – Thursdays; or $515 Fridays – Sundays.

 “For the Love of Food” culinary academy is offered in a beautiful Villa kitchen, the Resort’s chefs du cuisine lead hands-on preparation courses with wine pairings every Thursday evening in February.$175 per person per class, including wine pairings. Thursday, Feb. 20: California Tasting Table: Pelican Grill Chef Derek Brooks shares his secrets to smoking, seasoning and grilling winter meats, to be savored with California wines.

Thursday, Feb. 27: Family of Foodies: Coliseum Pool & Grill Chef Micah presents family-friendly recipes for food aficionados of all ages. Learn how to create healthy epicurean cuisine that brings the entire family together in the kitchen and around the table.

Dinner of the Senses

Friday, Feb. 14

An intimate and sensual dining experience, Pelican Hill’s popular Dinner of the Senses stimulates each of the five senses of sight, touch, taste, scent and sound. The seven-course menu for two features “his and hers” selections served in a private poolside cabana, each course is eaten by hand without the use of utensils. Customized music, flowers and décor are available upon request. Advance reservations recommended. $170 per person, or $220 per person with wine pairings.

There are also romantic Valentine’s dining options offered Feb. 14 – 15 at Andrea Ristorante, Pelican Grill and at the Coliseum Pool and Grill.

Complimentary valet parking is available for Resort guests and locals. Reservations are recommended and may be arranged by calling 800.820.6800. Additional information is available at pelicanhill.com.

Valentine's at LuLu Too

 Lulu Too in Costa Mesa is celebrating Valentine’s Day all week with great buys on affordable fashion. Today, stop by from 4 to 7 p.m. for live music and bubbly, as well as a free gift with $100 purchase.
