Golden Dine Out Season is Here

Get ready to vote for OC’s best restaurants for the upcoming 3rd annual Golden Foodie Awards celebrated on Sunday, Sept. 28 at the Fairmont Newport Beach. (Tickets are on sale for $150, and will cost $200 after Aug. 1.)

The Golden Dine Out is a three-week opportunity starting Sunday, Aug. 3 through Saturday, Aug. 23 for Orange County restaurants to receive votes for awards in 23 delectable categories. Foodies can participate by dining out, sampling the restaurants’ dishes and voting for their favorites in each category.

During the first week (Sunday Aug. 3 – Saturday, Aug. 9) of the Dine Out, the categories of best Mexican, Vegetarian, Pizza, Beer, American, Burger, Cocktail, and Food Talk Radio Show will be up for votes. 

The second week’s categories (Saturday, Aug. 10- Sunday, Aug. 16) will be Italian, Mediterranean, Wine, French, Steak, Sushi, Tacos, and Best Happy Hour!

Last but not least, the third week (Sunday, Aug. 17- Saturday, Aug. 23) will include Asian, Seafood, Most Delicious Dessert, Californian, Indian, Best Bartender and Best OC Food Writer categories. 

Three distinctive categories, Golden Chef Award, Golden Pastry Chef Award and the Best New Restaurant, will be determined and voted on by local chefs and restaurateurs.

At the end of each week, the top 3 nominees for each category will be announced via the Golden Foodie Awards Facebook. You can follow and stay connected for these announcements.

The culinary season will culiminate with the Golden Foodie Awards gala affair at the Fairmont Newport Beach filled with guests indulging in scrumptious bites, libations and delicous desserts.
