Treat yourself and the other moms in your life to this fun, free event that will kick off with a champagne toast and will feature live jazz music, light bites, drinks, and discounts at many OC Mix stores. The OC Mix is celebrating Moms this Wednesday, May 1 from 6 to 9 p.m., with a mid-week GNO (Girls Night Out), filled with shopping, champagne, and even a charity beneficiary, Working Wardrobes. Participating stores include Deer Lovely/Whiskey Tango 1977, We Olive, The Cheese Shop, Stoned Jewelry, Briana Rene, Savory Spice, Eva's Trunk, Heirlooms and Hardware, among many others! There also will be a raffle where guests can win themed baskets such as “date night,” “pampering," and much, much more! Guests can enter to win by spending $20 at an OC Mix store and every $10 donation to the charity, Working Wardrobes, counts as an additional entry.
In addition, 10-15% of the evening's sales from participating vendors will go to the charity. RSVP is required - and you can RSVP on the event page, or by emailing rsvp@deerlovely.com. Closing Night Film and Gala at NBFF
On Thursday, it’s already Closing Night of the 14th annual Newport Beach Film Festival and you can catch the West Coast Premiere of “The Way, Way Back” starring Steve Carell, Sam Rockwell, AnnaSophia Robb and Toni Collette showing at 7 p.m. at Regency Lido Theater in Newport Beach.
The film follows 14-year-old Duncan spending his summer vacation with his mother, her overbearing boyfriend, and his daughter. Following the film, attend the Closing Night Gala at 10 p.m. presented by the Los Angeles Times. Guests will be treated to entertainment and hors d’oeuvres prepared by award-winning restaurants.
