The Green Feast

The Green Feast: a SoCal tradition for the past five years is a delicious farm-to table dinner prepared by notable chefs donating their time and talents to benefit The Ecology Center an eco-education facility in San Juan Capistrano. On Saturday at 4 p.m. chefs, organic farmers, ranchers, fishermen, and vintners will serve hors d’oeuvres using farm-grown, artisanal foods – all sourced within 250 miles – and a family-style four-course outdoor dinner. The evening will also include live music and local food education.

The al fresco evening begins with an Eco-App Off, where Orange County's premiere chefs come together in friendly competition to create hors d'oeuvres. Chefs include, Aaron Anderson of Harlow’s Fine Cuisine & Craft Cocktails in San Juan Capistrano; Noah Blom of Arc Restaurant in Costa Mesa; Scott Brandon of Linx in Orange; Paul Buchanan of Primal Alchemy in Long Beach; Greg Daniels of Haven Collective; Gina Galvan and Robert Zuetell of Chomp Chomp Nation in Fullerton; Ryan O’Melveny Wilson of Five Crowns/SideDoor in Corona Del Mar; David Pratt of Brick Pizzeria in San Clemente; Debra Sims of Maro Wood Grill in Laguna Beach.

The four-course feast will be prepared by Rich Mead of Sage Restaurant in Newport Beach; Patrick Glennon of Culinary Liberation Front, Santa Monica Seafood; Matt Tobin of True Food Kitchen in Newport Beach; Rob Wilson of Montage in Laguna Beach; Ryan Adams of 370 Common in Laguna Beach; and Yves and Elyssa Fournier of Andrei’s Conscious Cuisine in Irvine.
