We can’t think of one person with the last name “Burger”, however today is that person’s lucky day. In celebration of National Burger Day, Smashburger, will give away a free Classic Smash to anyone with the last name “Burger,” or variations like Berger, Weinberger, Rosenberger, etc.
As it turns out, there are about 21,687 people in the U.S. with the last name “Burger” and 1,530 named “Hamburger.” This offer is good for redemption at all Smashburger locations. Proof of last name is required (i.e. valid driver’s license, passport or picture ID). Limit one Classic Smash per ID.
At Smashburger, they start with fresh, never frozen, Certified Angus Beef that is “smashed” on a flat grill at 400 degrees and seared in its juicy flavor. Its burgers are served on a toasted artisan bun and topped with fresh produce, cheeses and high quality condiments. You can also order marinated grilled chicken sandwiches, fresh tossed salads, sides like garlic seasoned Smashfries, haystack onion or veggie frites; hand-spun Häagen-Dazs shakes, and local craft beers.
In Orange County, Smashburger is in Aliso Viejo at 26541 Aliso Creek Rd.; and at Mission Viejo at 1003 The Shops at Mission Viejo.
Tribute to Festival of Arts Artists
One Palm Springs based artist, Charley Akers, has created a fantastic tribute to Festival of Arts artists on display at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in the resort’s Art Exhibit Hallway through September. What started as a creative endeavor turned into a unique photo-illustrative exhibit that captures the essence of each artist as well as their craft.
Hanging across from each of Aker’s photographs is a piece of art/sculpture by the artist depicted in the portrait. The exhibit includes artists who will be showcasing their art at the 2013 Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach such as Mary Aslin, Gerald Schwatz, Hannah Harris, Stacy Van Hanswyk, Murray Kruger, Lindsay Buchman, Jacquie Moffett, Roger Folk, Scott and Naomie Schoenherr, Paul Bond, Russell Jacques, and Sandra Jones Campbell.
Pictured here: Aker's photo of Hannah Harris.
The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel is at One Ritz-Carlton Drive in Dana Point.
