
The 2014 OC Music Awards Showcase Series kicks off tonight at Yost Theater in Santa Ana with free performances by Breach the Summit (8 p.m.), Ceasefire (8:45 p.m.), The Devious Means (9:30 p.m.), Jeramiah Red (10:15 p.m.) and The Field Trip (11 p.m.).
Come out and support local music and receive giveaways from Wahoo's, Ernie Ball, Guitar Center, Audiofly and more. The show will be hosted by Kat Corbett of the World Famous KROQ.
For the next 8 weeks, the OC Music Awards Showcase Series will continue with free live concerts at different venues across the county. The Showcase Series will culminate at the 2014 OC Music Awards on March 8 at the City National Grove of Anaheim when the music industry comes together to honor the achievements of local artists in 26 categories.
Showcase Series judges will score each band’s performance on musicianship, originality, song composition, stage presence and show attendance. Five finalists in the Best Live Band category will move on to the Showcase Series Finals which will be a free, all ages show at the Observatory in Santa Ana on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
