Fashion Trucks Roll Into OC

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and in this case, fashion retailers are rolling out trucks just like the food truck phenom. For the first time in OC, you can experience a mobile fashion truck event as SoCal’s hottest boutiques on wheels convene at the Irvine Spectrum Center from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, May 23 through Sunday, May 25 at the Giant Wheel Court.

At the OC Fashion Truck Meet Up, Irvine Spectrum Center’s most popular fashion boutiques will also set up pop-up shops alongside the fashion trucks on Saturday evening.

Shoppers can check out the following three specialty fashion-mobiles during the event:

Pekok Within, Orange County’s first mobile fashion truck, delivers fast fashion on wheels.  Owned by couple Brittney and Branigan Lee, Pekok has rolled its wares everywhere from local college campuses to Coachella. The boutique carries on-trend pieces, from vintage-inspired high-waisted swimwear to body-conscious vegan leather pants – all at affordable prices.

Le Fashion Truck, credited as being L.A.’s first fashion truck after opening in 2011, offers clothing and accessories by emerging designers for women on the go who love the boho-chic aesthetic – find everything from handmade jewelry to scarves, handbags and more aboard their pink truck, which also comes with a dressing room.

L.A.’s premier boutique on wheels, and its own fashion house, J.D. Luxe, offers up all the latest trend-forward looks and accessories with a bohemian-meets-rocker edge. From maxi dresses to statement jewelry and even its own line of ultra-soft tanks, tees and hoodies for both men and women.

The OC Fashion Truck Meet Up is a part of Saturday Style, a summer fashion initiative, where featured stores will showcase their latest looks in pop-up fashion boutiques throughout Irvine Spectrum Center.

The participating pop-up stores on Saturday include Foreign Exchange, offering 20% off regular priced merchandise, as well as cake pops and music; Irene’s Story, get a henna tattoo plus receive a free basic tank with purchase of $70 or more. You can also enter to win a $100 gift card and all participants will receive a coupon code for online purchases, raffle at 8 p.m. And Kaitlyn, enjoy cotton candy and nail art plus receive 20% off regular priced merchandise.  Also, receive a gift bag with a purchase over $50. All pop-up shops will be offering exclusive deals and prizes from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for all Saturday Style shoppers.

Irvine Spectrum Center is at 71 Fortune Drive in Irvine.
