OC Craft Tea House Makes Us Hungry

Orange County’s premiere craft tea house, Seventh Tea Bar at OC Mix in Costa Mesa just debuted a culinary menu with a selection of tea sandwiches on artisan breads and delicious house-made pastries such as tarts, macarons, truffles, fresh-baked cookies and more created by Executive Chef Davina Gongora. Seventh also offers various traditional tea services for one, or a group of people, including children’s tea parties.

On the tea sandwich menu a few of our new favorites offerings include the Blue Bird with smoked turkey, cranberry-orange chutney, fourme d’ambert, and arugula on a squaw roll; a CK’s Salty Sweet with apricot preserve, pistachio pesto, and seasoned ricotta on a squaw roll; or West Coast Shrimp Roll with dill, crème fraiche, avocado, and daikon sprouts on a torpedo roll.

You can also order house made spreads on breads served with baguette & lavash, with choices such as Za’atar spiced goat cheese dip; orange-rosemary marmalade; olive tapenade; strawberry-black pepper jam; green goddess; raspberry jam; cocoa vanilla butter, cinnamon maple butter; and sea salt butter.

Seventh’s Tea Service also gives guest a chance to discover an international selection of unblended teas, as well as fruit and herb-infused custom creations. You can experience a Gongfu Tea Ceremony, a tea service used by connoisseurs to enjoy the fine art of tea. Each tea service is paired with a selection of culinary offerings, including spreads, tea sandwiches and house-made pastries.

Reservations are recommended for larger parties and special tea service requests by calling 714.656.2690.

Open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday; 9 a.m.  to 8 p.m. Tuesday to Friday; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
