Experience the fifth annual culinary celebration, the 2023 Pacific Wine & Food Classic, as it unites an impressive lineup of acclaimed chefs, restaurants, and wineries for a delightful tasting event. On Saturday, September 30th, at the picturesque Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort, guests are cordially invited to relish gourmet cuisine, fine wines, and refreshing libations of the highest quality.
The event begins with a welcome cocktail crafted by Licor 43 upon entry. Within the expansive open-air venue, attendees can explore offerings from the San Luis Obispo Coast Wine Collective and food by Newport Coast Catering and Sweetgreens. The experience encompasses 100 premium wines from around the world, cold beer from Stella Artois and Estrella, as well as an array of crafted cocktails including Ketel One, Maker’s Mark, El Tesoro Tequila, and Ron Zacapa Rum. Featuring more than 30 top restaurants and food purveyors, the Pacific Wine & Food Classic highlights beloved Southern California favorites. A new addition is the Gelson’s Cheese, Charcuterie, and Wine Experience, offering curated artisanal cheeses and charcuterie paired with award-winning wines by Julien Fayard of Napa Valley and Doug Margerum of Santa Barbara County.
The Taco Garden, presented by TacoTuesday.com, returns to the 2023 Pacific Wine & Food Classic, presenting a delectable array of tacos and cold beer. Delight in mouthwatering taco creations from renowned restaurants like Chela's, Descanso, Rodrigo's, Red O, and Puesto. Between bites and sips, dance at the Silent Disco on the sandy shores, meet the podcast team, and receive TacoTuesday.com merchandise while supplies last. Explore the San Simeon Wine Beach Lounge, showcasing six favored wines, and savor the exquisite giant Paella crafted by Paella Master Chef Leo Razo.
Elevate the experience by transforming your day at the Pacific Wine & Food Classic into a weekend retreat. You can choose VEA Newport Beach as your home for the weekend, granting exclusive access to the resort's transportation for guests booking through the official PWFC Room Block at VEA. This convenience is not applicable to those booking outside the official room block or attendees not staying overnight at the resort. Indulge in live music, and special culinary and beverage offerings, all while enjoying ocean views from the newly established Sunset Lawn—a perfect conclusion to your day as you return to VEA.
