American Comfort Foods with a Twist

If you’re craving tasty comfort foods that are full of bold flavors with a twist—like Iron Skillet Baked Cornbread with cheddar cheese and jalapenos, and a Cowboy Burger with onion fritters, BBQ sauce, bacon, cheddar, and fries look no further than Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern (JFAT) that already boasts five locations: San Diego, Dana Point, Brea, Woodland Hills and its newest Santa Monica location.

Its two OC eateries at the Village at La Floresta center in Brea, and Dana Marina Plaza in Dana Point serve eclectic offerings of American comfort foods developed by celebrated Orange County chef/restaurateur David Wilhelm.

Jimmy's Famous American Tavern offers a menu of burgers, flatbreads, soups, salads and starters/shares made with only the freshest ingredients. It’s a nationally certified GRA ‘Green Restaurant’ committed to environmentally sustainable practices and sources locally-raised, organic products whenever possible.

Signature dishes include its buttermilk fried chicken (one of the best in O.C) served with garlic mashed potatoes, thyme gravy and green beans; Pear Flatbread with black fig jam, blue cheese and fontina – prosciutto and arugula; the Santa Fe Grilled Caesar Salad and appetizers like the Buffalo Meatballs with spicy wing sauce and honey garlic ranch; and Ale Battered Onion Rings.
