Closing Night of The NB Film Fest

The Newport Beach Film Festival continues through Thursday, May 3 with exclusive screenings, Q&A's with filmmakers, and after parties. And on closing night, the Newport Beach Film Fest proudly presents All Square at the Lido Theatre screening at 8 p.m., followed by a closing night gala at the Via Lido Plaza. All Square is the story of a small town bookie having a hard time collecting on outstanding debts.

After a one-night stand with an ex-girlfriend, he strikes up an unlikely friendship with her 12-year old son and develops a plan to recoup the money owed to him by taking bets on the towns Youth League Baseball games. The film stars Michael Kelly, Jesse Ray Sheps, Josh Lucas, and Pamela Adlon.

Following the screening, there will be a Q&A with screenwriter Tim Brady, actors Tom Everett Scott, Jay Larson, Andrew Sikking, and producers Ben Cronwell and Yeardley Smith.

The Newport Beach Film Festival, in partnership with Via Lido Plaza will host the Closing Night Celebration at Via Lido Plaza, presented by Scheifer ChopShop. The event will feature culinary tastings from Orange County’s top restaurants, hosted bar by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Oban Whiskey, and Guinness.

Price is $95 for Film & Gala / $65 for Gala only, 21+ for all post parties. Cocktail Attire Required.  Outdoor event – coat or jacket recommended.

Via Lido Plaza is at 3425 Via Lido in Newport Beach.
