Curated Home Design: Explore Brickhouse Interiors, a Family-Owned Gem

The new Brickhouse Interiors in Costa Mesa is a family-owned specialty showroom featuring coastal contemporary furnishings mixed with found and vintage objects. 

Creative Director Bryant Putnam oversees the retail store and works alongside his mother and aunt, Natalie Putnam, and Kayla De St. Jean at Brickhouse Interior Design. 

The twin sisters, Natalie and Kayla, started their careers in staging homes in HGTV’s “Flip or Flop” and went on to stage over 700 homes. “Staging is like moving in and out of a home in three days, and it’s exhausting,” Natalie said. “It was fun, but we wanted to do more with our talents.”

Today, the trio focuses their talents on designing custom homes and design projects, while showcasing an ever-changing selection of favorite home furnishings, art, and accessories at Brickhouse Interiors that can be purchased right off the floor.  

The retail store offers a way to showcase what’s possible at Brickhouse Interior Design. It has a coastal feel, with neutrals and textures, everything is practical, comfortable, and casual. “We like to transform rooms into a stylish oasis,” Bryant said.  

Choose from beds, chairs, dining tables, coffee tables, end tables, art, mirrors, and much more.

“Most furniture is new, but we incorporate vintage elements for a collected look,” Bryant said. Choose from vintage benches, pottery, and clay pots.

It’s also a great store to pick up gift items including Backhouse candles hand-poured in Newport Beach, luxury linens by TL at Home, coffee table books, and accessories. 

And, their Labor Day Pillow Sale just started. Choose from more than 120 pillows that just arrived, all marked down 25% to 50% off.
