26th Annual Newport Beach Film Festival Announces 2025 Lineup

The Newport Beach Film Festival will return October 16–23 for its 26th year, showcasing more than 100 feature films and 250 shorts from 32 countries.

The festival opens October 16 with Richard Linklater’s Blue Moon, starring Ethan Hawke, Margaret Qualley, Bobby Cannavale and Andrew Scott. It closes October 23 with Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, starring Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, Oscar Isaac and Christoph Waltz.

Centerpiece screenings include Nia DaCosta’s Hedda with Tessa Thompson, Richard Linklater’s Nouvelle Vague with Zoey Deutch, Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value with Stellan Skarsgård, Elle Fanning and Renate Reinsve, and Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery featuring Daniel Craig, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin and more.

This year’s festival will also highlight international films from 16 countries and special events including a StyleWeekOC celebration at Fashion Island.

Attracting more than 50,000 attendees each year, NBFF is Southern California’s largest international cinema event, pairing screenings with nightly parties and culinary partners.
