Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Hosts Fintastic Fun for National Mermaid Day
03.20.25
This National Mermaid Day, guests are invited to dive into a magical undersea adventure at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach, a resort known for its year-round mermaid experiences.
On Saturday, March 29, the property will celebrate National Mermaid Day with an entire afternoon of mermaid-themed activities, enchantment and fintastic moments for guests of all ages.
The festivities begin at 12:30 p.m. with a Mermaid Meet & Greet, where children can meet the hotel’s three enchanting mermaids in person. At 1 p.m., little ones ages 5 and under can join the Mini Mermaid Parent & Me class, choosing a tail from the Treasure Chest and learning to swim with a ProFishional Mermaid Red Cross Swim-Fin Instructor. At the same time, mermaids over the age of 5 can participate in Mermaid Magic, a class where they’ll safely swim in a mermaid tail, practice underwater tricks and dive for treasure.
At 2 p.m., mermaids ages 16 and up can take part in Fin Fitness, a water-based exercise class that combines gentle aquatic movement with ocean appreciation, guided by a mermaid instructor.
Throughout the day, a craft station will offer mermaid-themed jewelry-making, and a special menu will feature ocean-inspired fare, including a Seashell Cheeseboard, Shark Fin Nachos, Mermaid Cupcakes and S’mores Starfish.
To close out the celebration, a Mermaid Happy Hour will take place around 4 p.m. at Shor, the resort’s new beachfront venue offering surf-inspired favorites and ocean views.
Families can register for all mermaid-themed activities here.
Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach is located at 21500 Pacific Coast Hwy, Huntington Beach.
