Italian Wine Tasting + Caviar at Michael’s on Naples

09.21.16

Third generation winemaker, Michele Bozza of the La Montina winery in Italy, will be at Michael’s On Naples on Monday, Sept. 26 from 6-8 p.m. at to share the Bozza family’s Italian sparkling wines paired with Italian caviar. The culinary gathering will take place at the restaurant’s newly expanded Rooftop Lounge.  The cost is just $20 per person, excluding tax and gratuity, and seating is limited.

You can enjoy a trio of wines from La Montina, an estate winery located in the Lombardy region of Italy, including a Brut, Saten and Rosè. Located in the wine-producing area of Franiciacorta, La Montina is owned by the Bozza family, it adheres to the strict rules of Discipline of the Franciacorta Wines Consortium, the most restrictive when it comes to producing wines using the classical method.

La Montina wines will be served alongside a selection of Calvisius Tradition Caviar, the world’s first sustainable caviar using only the roe of white sturgeon. It takes a minimum of 12 years for the black pearls to mature and the result is large-grain eggs with roe that is homogenous and compact. The flavor is light and fruity with a hint of nut with hues ranging from dark grey to golden amber.

Michael’s On Naples is open daily at 5 p.m. on Sunday-Thursday until 10 p.m. and closes at 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Michael’s On Naples is at 5620 East Second Street on Naples Island, in East Long Beach.
