Luxury Italian jewelry designer, Roberto Coin just opened its first Orange County boutique at Fashion Island. The boutique is adjacent to Traditional Jewelers and also opened in collaboration with the renowned family owned jewelry store.
Roberto Coin, a famed Venetian jeweler, was reportedly one of the first to use three-color gold, and his signature is hiding a tiny ruby on the inside of each design. The ruby signifies a secret gift of good wishes to every woman wearing his piece.
Longtime fans can find his signature Appassionata Collection, a timeless basket weave design that interlocks ribbed 18-karat gold links in flexible, fabric-like movements, as well as iconic collections such as the Ipanema (pictured above) Mauresque, CapriPlus, and the Roberto Coin Cento, a dazzling 100-facet cut diamond collection.
Roberto Coin offers something for everyone, from multi-colored gemstone designs, to art nouveau and contemporary pieces.
Open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Kids of Kilimanjaro

You can support the Costa Mesa-based charity Kids of Kilimanjaro, which is providing a warm school lunch to 15,000 students in Tanzania by attending its incredible 6th annual gala fundraiser in Beverly Hills. On Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Beverly Hills Hotel enjoy cocktails, a silent and live auction and a gourmet sit-down dinner all while raising much needed funds for the students receiving the school lunch program.
Special guest speaker Gov. Bill Richardson will give the evening’s keynote speech. Complimentary valet parking and goody bags for each attendee. This year, Kids of Kilimanjaro is offering a raffle prize of $1,000 cash. Tickets cost $20 each or 6 for $100. Raffle will be drawn during the gala event. Winner need not be present in order to win. To purchase raffle tickets prior to the event please contact us at info@kidsofkilimanjaro.org. The gala tickets cost $300 each.
