The 44 Women for Orangewood Scholarship Luncheon returns Thursday, May 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at VEA Newport Beach for an inspiring afternoon dedicated to supporting youth education.
The luncheon brings the community together to raise funds for Orangewood Foundation scholarships, grants and educational programs that help young people build brighter futures. Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated lunch and hear from keynote speaker Josh Shipp, who will share insights on the power of mentorship, opportunity and encouragement.
The event offers a meaningful way to give back while helping support the next generation.

CasaDami Teams Up With Gelato Paradiso for a Summer Dessert Flight

With warmer days ahead, CasaDami in Newport Beach is giving dessert lovers another reason to head to the Peninsula. Now the coastal café and wine bar partnered with Gelato Paradiso on a limited-time gelato flight available exclusively at CasaDami.
The Gelato Paradiso Flight includes four flavors served with waffle cones: mango sorbetto, dulce de leche, pistachio, and a custom rose raspberry flavor created for the collaboration. Designed for sharing, the dessert is priced at $22.
CasaDami has also added several new brunch and dinner dishes to the menu, including a red wine-braised bone-in short rib served with pomme purée and crispy shallots, chicken Milanese with nduja aioli and arugula, tiger prawns with salsa verde, and wild-caught branzino with charred romesco and herb salad.
Monday nights now feature Steak Frites Mondays, a $55 prix fixe menu with prime skirt steak, CasaDami’s signature salad, and a house-made affogato for dessert. Beverages are offered separately.
Located in Newport Beach’s Peninsula Village, CasaDami blends French, Italian, and Spanish influences in a relaxed European-inspired setting that feels made for long brunches, dinner with friends, and lingering over wine by the water.
