Roger’s Gardens 4th Annual “Day of Art”

You can join Roger’s Gardens in Newport Beach for its 4th Annual “Day of Art” on Saturday, February 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fifty talented artists will be painting and drawing in the gardens, each giving a creative interpretation of Roger’s Gardens.
A painting by each of the participating artists will be on display and available for purchase. Judging of the original artworks, as well as a presentation of awards and recognitions, will happen at noon during the awards ceremony.
Everyone has the opportunity to be an artist for the day by joining the scheduled workshops and demos such as a Printmaking Workshop: Printing Posies and Plants from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and a Drawing Workshop: Journal your Garden through Art / Drawing Leaves and Flowers in the Garden from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

The Beach Barrel Turns One With Giveaways!

The Beach Barrel on the Newport Beach Peninsula is celebrating its 1-year anniversary this weekend, Feb. 26-28, with three days of giveaways!
On Friday, Feb. 26: The first 40 guests will receive a free slice of BBQ Chicken Pizza. On Saturday, Feb. 27: The first 30 guests will receive free Chorizo Chili Cheese Fries, made with Ochoa’s Spicy Chorizo from Santa Ana, in celebration of National Chili Day. On Sunday, Feb. 28: The first 40 guests will receive a free slice of Jerk Chicken Pizza.
The Beach Barrel specializes in made from scratch sandwiches, pizzas, hot dogs, salads and a must have dessert called Hawaiian Sticky Buns.
Open noon to 3 a.m. Friday; noon to 3 a.m. Saturday; and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday at 3305 Newport Blvd. in Newport Beach. Open for dine-in, takeout and FREE local delivery during those hours.
