Daniel Patterson celebrates The Art of Flavor at Taco María
09.22.17
On Saturday, Sept. 23, Taco María welcomes one of chef/owner Carlos Salgado’s greatest mentors, Daniel Patterson, for his first guest chef event in Orange County. Salgado and Patterson will collaborate on a five-course menu inspired by Daniel Patterson’s newly released The Art of Flavor (a cooking primer co-authored with perfumer Mandy Aftel) and the chefs’ time together at Coi. Tickets (available via Resy) for the $200 per person dinner will include a copy of The Art of Flavor, beverage pairings, tax and gratuity. All ticket sales are final.
Daniel Patterson is the Oakland-based chef and restaurateur behind Alta Group, which includes Alta in the Bay Area and soon, Los Angeles, Alfred’s Steakhouse in San Francisco and Plum Bar in Oakland. He is also the co-founder of the ground-breaking fast food venture LocoL and continues to oversee his acclaimed Bay Area restaurants Aster and the two Michelin-starred Coi. Patterson was recognized as a Food & Wine Best New Chef in 1997 and received a James Beard Award for Best Chef: West in 2014.

Evening of Excellence for Youth Employment Services
09.22.17
Join An Evening of Excellence for Youth Employment Service (YES) on Thursday, Sept. 28 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Promenade & Gardens in Costa Mesa.
