Austin Born Hopdoody Burger Bar Arrives in OC
11.16.15
Hopdoddy Burger Bar, an Austin-born burger joint just opened its first Orange County location at Fashion Island, near Nike and Tesla.
Hopdoddy is known for its fresh, all-natural, hormone and antibiotic free Angus burgers always ground in-house and served on freshly baked buns. A Hopdoddy burger is not complete without its Kennebec hand cut fries and Handspun shakes such as fan favorites: the Red Velvet Cake and Nutella & Chocolate Pretzel. All shakes can be transformed into a boozy treat using local spirits.
The name “Hopdoddy” comes from the perfect combination of burgers and beer: handcrafted beer (Hop) + (Doddy), the nickname of a native cow in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Favorite burgers at Hopdoddy include The Classic Burger with Angus beef, red leaf lettuce, white onion, ripe beef steak tomato, and sassy sauce; the Magic Shroom, with Angus beef, local goat cheese, field mushrooms, mayo, basil pesto and the Goodnight for a Good Cause Burger, $1 is donated to the Dream Street Foundation, with Angus beef, Tillamook cheddar, hickory BBQ sauce, caramelized onions, sliced jalapeno, hickory BBQ and Sassy Sauce. In addition, to Angus beef house grinds, Hopdoddy also features freshly ground bison, lamb, chicken, turkey and sushi-grade ahi tuna.
Hopdoddy offers fresh salads including the Hail Caesar, Spinach & Arugula and Baby Kale made with organic farm fresh greens and local produce when available.
For an extra kick, the hand-cut Kennebec Fries and Truffle Fries can be served with Chili con Queso or Green Chili Queso.
Hopdoddy features a full bar with a selection of local craft beer, cocktails and a spirits menu, all made using freshly squeezed juices and house-made syrups.
Limited-time specials include mouth-watering burgers, handspun shakes and specialty cocktails.
Open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
