Taste of Brea is happening Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. Brea Downtown at Birch Street. You can sample some of the best in Brea’s eateries with a $10 wristband. Some participating restaurants include: BJ’s Restaurant & Brewery, Cantina Lounge, Colette’s Catering & Specialty Cakes, Corner Bakery Café, Entourage Gastro Pub, Fresca’s Mexican Grill, Lucille’s Smokehouse BBQ, The Melting Pot, Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill, TAPS Fish House & Brewery, TGI Fridays, WineStyles and Yard House. OC’ hottest chefs and mixologists are donating their time and talents to help end childhood hunger Friday at Orange County’s premier culinary event – Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation at The Island Hotel in Newport Beach. One hundred percent of ticket sales go to feeding Orange County’s hungry children. Doors open at 5 p.m. for VIP tickets/ $125 online/$135 at the door VIP includes a private Champagne reception with the chefs, a first peek at the silent auction items, and a premier swag bag General admission tickets cost $75/and $85 at the door.
