Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock – The Musical

Segerstrom Center for the Arts is bringing the second of two brand new Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals to Orange County: School of Rock – The Musical. Following two weeks of packed houses for Webber’s Love Never Dies, this exciting Broadway and West End hit comes to Segerstrom Hall July 24 – August 5. This hilarious musical features all the original songs from the 2003 film plus 14 new songs written specially for the show by Andrew Lloyd Webber and musical theater’s first-ever all-kids rock band.
Tickets for School of Rock – The Musical start at $29, and are on sale now. They may be purchased online at SCFTA.org, at the Box Office at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa or by calling 714.556.2787. For inquiries about group ticket savings for 10 or more, please call the Group Services office at 714.755.0236. The 2 p.m. performance on Saturday, August 4, 2018 will include audio description, open captioning and sign-language interpretation. Before the Costa Mesa engagement, School of Rock – The Musical will play in Los Angeles at Hollywood Pantages Theatre; May 3 – 27.
School of Rock – The Musical national tour stars Rob Colletti as Dewey, Lexie Dorsett Sharp as Rosalie, Matt Bittner as Ned, Emily Borromeo as Patty, Merritt David Janes as Dewey Alternate, Deidre Lang as Ms. Sheinkopf, Olivia Bucknor as Shonelle, Theodora Silverman as Katie, Alyssa Emily Marvin as Marcy, Carson Hodges as Mason, Grier Burke as Tomika, Gilberto Moretti-Hamilton as Freddy, Vincent Molden as Zack, Huxley Westemeier as Billy, Theo Mitchell-Penner as Lawrence and Iara Nemirovsky as Summer.
The adult ensemble features John Campione, Patrick Clanton, Christopher DeAngelis, Kristian Espiritu, Melanie Evans, Liam Fennecken, Kara Haller, Elysia Jordan, Jameson Moss, Sinclair Mitchell, Tim Shea and Hernando Umana. The kid’s ensemble features Rayna Farr, Bella Fraker, Jack Suarez Kimmel, Cameron Trueblood, Jesse Sparks and Gabriella Uhl.
School of Rock – The Musical is based on the 2003 smash hit film of the same name, and features music from the movie as well as an original score by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Glenn Slater, a book by Julian Fellowes, choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter and direction by Laurence Connor.
