Righteous Brothers to Headline Charity Concerts at Lido Theater

08.20.26

The Righteous Brothers, Bill Medley and Bucky Heard, will take the stage at the Lido Theater on Thursday, Sept. 10, and Friday, Sept. 11, for the inaugural Lido Legacy Live benefit concerts. Proceeds will support the Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard Scholarship Program and Friends of OASIS Senior Center in Newport Beach.

Both nights begin at 6 p.m. with a reception along the Lido Walk, next to the theater at Via Lido Plaza. The Cannery, Lido House, Byblos Mediterranean Grill and ZPizza will provide light bites, and The Cannery will handle cocktails. A live auction will offer a meet and greet with Bill Medley after the show, the chance to join him onstage during the concert, a rescue boat ride with the Newport Beach Junior Lifeguards, and more.

The concert kicks off at 7:30 p.m. each evening, with Medley and Heard performing Righteous Brothers classics including "(You're My) Soul and Inspiration," "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" and "Unchained Melody." Tickets range from $150 to $300.

The Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard Program serves children ages 9 to 15 through ocean safety education, leadership development, lifeguarding skills and physical fitness training, while building respect for the marine environment and public service.

Friends of OASIS Senior Center supports Newport Beach's senior community with transportation, entertainment, clubs, classes and other programs that help seniors live healthy, active lives.

Tickets and more information are available at TheLidoTheater.com. The Lido Theater is located at 3459 Via Lido in Via Lido Plaza, off Balboa Boulevard, in Newport Beach. Limited complimentary parking is available in two Via Lido Plaza lots, with valet parking also offered. Rideshare is encouraged.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Returns to Segerstrom Center for the Arts

08.17.26

Segerstrom Center for the Arts and Disney Theatrical Group, led by Andrew Flatt and Anne Quart, are teaming up to bring Disney's Beauty and the Beast to Costa Mesa, marking the first North American tour of the musical presented by Disney in more than 25 years.

The beloved Broadway musical opens Sept. 22 for a three-week run through Oct. 11, 2026.

A quick reminder for ticket buyers: Segerstrom Center for the Arts is the only official retail outlet for tickets to its performances. If you buy from a broker or third party, the center cannot reprint or replace lost or stolen tickets, and it won't be able to reach you with updates like time changes.

Beauty and the Beast is based on the 1991 Academy Award winning animated film and first hit Broadway in 1994, where it became one of the longest-running shows in theater history. It earned nine Tony nominations and won for best costume design, and it remains one of the highest-grossing Broadway productions ever. The story's reach has only grown since, thanks to stage productions around the world and the 2017 live-action film, which was nominated for an Oscar and grossed more than $1 billion globally.

Tickets start at $44 and can be purchased online at scfta.org, in person at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa, or by phone at 714-556-2787. Groups of 10 or more can call 714-755-0236 for discount pricing.
