B. Toffee Takes Off
12.19.16
B.Toffee, a handcrafted, luxury toffee brand based out of Orange County has experienced rapid growth after being chosen by several national retailers to be sold in select Whole Foods, Dean & Deluca and Bristol Farms stores; being featured in the luxury Robb Vices’ gift boxes, and growing an impressive corporate client roster, prompting an immediate expansion of their production and manufacturing facilities.
B. toffee is moving to a larger facility in Newport Beach, near John Wayne Airport, which features a commercial kitchen more than twice the size of their previous space. In addition, B. toffee will be hiring on more chefs and staff, purchasing supplementary production equipment and expanding the packaging area to fulfill the growing corporate and wedding gift orders. B. toffee is also in the process of securing several collaborations to increase where it is sold throughout the U.S., implementing high-end, premium gift boxes curated for large corporate companies around the world and branding for gourmet buyer showrooms.
Ever since B. toffee was founded in 2009, it has created a stir in the candy confection world. With a core audience, strong following and ever growing customer base, the founder, Southern California native, Betsy Thagard has turned a passion into a profitable business. Her original recipe, that started out of her home kitchen as a treat for friends and family, is crafted with premium ingredients (savory butter, fine domestic sugars, premium Guittard & Callebaut chocolates, all topped with superior quality pecan nuts) and has grown into a nationally available product that can be found in specialty retailers, gourmet grocers and through their e-commerce website.
“Sharing my B. toffee product with the world has been a dream come true, and I am so proud and honored by the partnerships developed over the past year,” said Thagard. “The move to the new facility will allow B. toffee to continue to grow, and, in turn, dedicate more resources to a project close to my heart, the B. Giving Initiative, which, in conjunction with local charities, allows for B. toffee to impact the community in a positive way.”
B. toffee is recognized as a superior quality product in the industry and has been described as a “crunchy perfection of sweetness.” B. toffee has received top GOLD honors for “Top Toffee” and “Best Packaging” by the Taste Awards in San Francisco.

Shorter Showers Made Easy, Pantene’s ShowerGlass
12.16.16
We don’t normally talk about huge commercial brands, but this one is too good to pass up. In response to California’s drought, Pantene introduced The ShowerGlass Limited Edition available now at Vons.
Each bottle of shampoo comes with a five-minute hour glass timer so that you’ll better know when you should end your shower. According to SaveOurWater.com, if you take a 5 minute shower instead of a 10 minute shower, you’ll be saving between 12.5 - 25 gallons of water per shower. That’s substantial! Simply flip over the shampoo bottle with the ShowerGlass and it will time your shower for you.
Pantene’s shampoo & conditioner combo work together to help wash hair quickly. The shampoo was designed to lather quickly and rinses out quickly, while the conditioner features fast-acting ingredients that spreads easily across wet hair and instantly rinses out.
You can find a Vons in Orange County here.
