05.21.25
CasaDamí, the European-inspired café and wine bar in Newport Beach’s Peninsula Village, is expanding its all-day dining experience with two new offerings: weekend brunch and a daily Golden Hour menu.
Brunch is now served Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., featuring seasonal ingredients and elevated European flavors. Highlights include Truffle Eggs Benedict with prosciutto or smoked salmon, Croissant French Toast with berries and mascarpone, and Steak & Eggs with Black Angus Prime hanger steak and aji verde. Lighter fare includes the Damí Salad and Whipped Ricotta with Kalamata olives and honey.
Guests can pair brunch with premium wines by the glass, including Champagne, Super Tuscans, and Napa favorites. CasaDamí is also among the few restaurants in Orange County offering Dom Pérignon by the glass. Add-ons such as private-label caviar (+$50) and fresh truffle (+$30) are available with any brunch dish.
Golden Hour, offered daily from 2:30 to 5 p.m., is a refined interlude featuring a curated menu of caviar, charcuterie, affogatos, and premium wines. Standouts include Beluga Hybrid Caviar with traditional accompaniments, hand-carved Jamón Ibérico, and a Supreme Charcuterie Board with 10 artisanal selections.

HomeAid OCLA Hosts Annual Diaper Drive May 30 at The District at Tustin Legacy
05.20.25
HomeAid Orange County and Los Angeles, a recently expanded national nonprofit, will host its annual Diaper Drive community event Friday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The District at Tustin Legacy.
The Diaper Drive is a drive-thru drop-off event collecting diapers, wipes and baby food for families with young children who are experiencing—or at risk of—homelessness. Since its launch in 2008, the event has distributed more than 16 million essential items. This year’s goal is to collect 1 million.
Hundreds of donors, volunteers, civic organizations and public service agencies will join forces to support the cause. Highlights include themed diaper structures built by teams from Lennar Homes, New Home Co., OCSD, Brookfield, BIASC’s Greater Sales and Marketing Council, Woodside Homes, WHA and Wienerschnitzel. Taylor Morrison will team up with OCFA to build a special firefighter appreciation diaper structure honoring first responders.
Guests can enjoy free food, games, kids’ activities and educational resources throughout the event.
Volunteers will help offload, sort and prep the donations for delivery to the OC Diaper Bank, in partnership with UPS. The event aims to raise awareness about diaper need, which affects 1 in 2 U.S. families, according to the National Diaper Bank Network.
All donated items will go to families living in shelters and housing communities built by HomeAid OCLA and its partners.
After supporting the Diaper Drive, guests are encouraged to explore The District at Tustin Legacy for school and after-school shopping and more. For details and a full business directory, visit thedistricttl.com.
