Complimentary Ocean View Yoga at Kimpton Shorebreak Resort

In celebration of National Yoga Month, the Kimpton Shorebreak Resort in Huntington Beach is offering guests several options to stay fit while traveling – including surfing, rock climbing, yoga and meditation classes.
For the month of September, the resort is offering complimentary ocean-view yoga classes every Sunday at 9 a.m. that are open to the public. Guests staying at the resort have a yoga mat in their room that they can use for the class. The resort’s restaurant, Pacific Hideaway, will also be offering wellness shots to get your body ready for a detox.

A Tribute of Rememberance-Honoring 9/11

Join the Sons of the American Legion-Post 291 in Newport Beach on Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 3 to 7 pm. as they honor our country and all the brave men and women who dealt with this devastating event on 9/11.
There will be a short speech by dignitaries, including Mayor Diane Dixon, Mr. Benjamin Yu from Irvine who is currently running for Assembly and other esteemed First Responders in our community.
The family-friendly event is free and guests are encouraged to bring their blankets and lawn chairs for an enjoyable afternoon.
So Petty Band, the cover band for Tom Petty will be playing music throughout the afternoon and early evening. There will be numerous food trucks, including: a Coffee Truck, Sugar and Spice (with dipped bananas, frozen cheesecakes, and Balboa Bars), A Taco Truck and a Hamburger & Hot Dog cart.
There will also be vendor booths with information and valuable resources including Red Cross, Suicide Prevention, T-Mobile with offers for first responders and veterans, Humana and a specialty t-shirt booth.
