We’re giving away two tickets to the live-action graphic novel “The Intergalactic Nemesis Book One: Target Earth” at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa. The tickets are good for the performance Friday, May 31 at 7:30 p.m. Expect a one-of-a-kind whirlwind show with radio drama and more than 1,000 hand-drawn vivid comic book images displayed on a giant screen as three actors play all the parts and one Foley artist and one keyboardist perform all sound effects and music.

The performance was featured on NPR’s All Things Considered and CONAN. Now, in its second touring season, the production arrives at 40 venues around the U.S., U.K. and Canada. Segerstrom Center for the Arts at Samueli Theater May 31 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 2 at noon and 4 p.m. Tickets cost $20. 615 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa.

Pack a picnic and enjoy Shakespeare in a free outdoor theatre performance of “As You Like” at Concordia University Irvine at 4:30 p.m. on May 25-27 and June 1-2.
Concordia’s professional theatre company, Looseleaf Theatre Co. will perform the classic Shakespeare play staged in the late 1960s with Mad Men suits and hippies, singing and a professional wrestling match.
Performances at 4:30 p.m. May 25, 26, 27 and June 1, 2.
Concordia University Irvine's Nelson Amphitheatre is at 1530 Concordia West in Irvine.
