Hotel San Luis Obispo’s Summer Vibe Package
08.05.22
Hotel San Luis Obispo, a luxury boutique hotel in the heart of San Luis Obispo’s vibrant downtown, is offering a Summer Vibe Special that pairs a stay in the property’s spacious accommodations with exclusive access to a luxury box suite at Vina Robles Amphitheater, a live music venue on a picturesque hillside nearby Paso Robles.
Guests can see performances from a variety of renowned and contemporary artists in style with a private box suite entrance, private lounge and bar, specialty beverages and food service, VIP parking, and private restroom facilities. The package includes two seats in a four-seat box suite, with the opportunity to buy the other two for friends or family.
Perfect for music and comedy lovers, the Summer Vibe Special will provide prime seating for notable performers through October 2022 such as comedian Anjelah Johnson on August 13, and Phoebe Bridgers on August 27. Other performances will include The Offspring on July 29, Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo on August 28, and Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band on October 15.
In addition to the benefits during the show, the package includes a stay in one of Hotel SLO’s Paseo King Rooms and a $25 dining credit for any of the property’s onsite dining options – Piadina, High Bar Rooftop Lounge & Terrace, and Ox + Anchor. Ideal for couples, the Paseo King Rooms include a king-size bed, a cozy sitting area, and an interior design with playful furnishings inspired by the region’s ranch and the beach lifestyle. The rooms’ bijou balconies offer views of the courtyard, the tiled rooftops San Luis Obispo is known for, and the peaks of the nearby scenic mountains.
Led by Executive Chef Ryan Fancher, the property’s modern steakhouse Ox + Anchor is a relaxed fine-dining restaurant that draws inspiration from the hills and sea that surround San Luis Obispo, while it’s more casual restaurant Piadina provides a fresh California take on Italian cuisine. High Bar is an inviting space for guests to revel in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and San Luis Obispo’s vibrant downtown with cocktails, wine, craft beer, light bites, and specialty pizza.
Hotel San Luis Obispo is also the perfect home base for visitors to explore the attractions of the Central Coast, from the notable wine regions of Edna Valley, Arroyo Grande, Paso Robles, and Santa Margarita to scenic hiking trails and beaches. In addition to its onsite eateries, the property offers 78 luxurious guestrooms and suites, a 50-foot garden terrace swimming pool and jacuzzi, an eco-friendly spa, and a spacious fitness center. Environmentally conscious travelers will appreciate the property’s sustainable elements, including reusable water bottles for every guest, refill stations throughout the hotel, and charging stations for electric vehicles.

Khan Saab Desi Craft Kitchen Launches Mocktail Happy Hour
08.03.22
Khan Saab Desi Craft Kitchen, a Michelin Bib Gourmand award-winning 100% Halal eatery in Fullerton, has launched its late summer happy hour. Now through the end of September, the restaurant’s popular alcohol-free craft mocktails will be offered at buy one get one 50% Mondays through Thursdays from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
The late summer happy hour encourages guests to escape this season’s heat waves and enjoy refreshingly cold, spiritless drinks paired perfectly with the restaurant’s melded cuisine that incorporates flavors and cooking techniques of India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. The “sober curious” movement of cutting down, or out, alcohol use is continuing strong this summer, and, following Halal tradition, Khan Saab’s 100% alcohol-free drink menu is on trend. 58% of global consumers are drinking more non-alcoholic and low-ABV cocktails than a year ago, citing personal, physical and mental health reasons and shattering negative stigmas surrounding sobriety.
Mixologists Craig Nemeth and Ahmad Hosseini craft trendy and socially appealing mocktails like the Tower of Peshawar, which blends Seedlip Garden 108, cucumber, basil, and elderflower tonic, alongside more traditional beverages like lassi, a dahi-based drink made with a blend of yoghurt, water, spices, and occasionally fruit such as mangos. Standouts from the craft mocktail selection include the sweet and refreshing Mango Mojito, crafted with mango nectar, mint, jaggery, and lime, and the sophisticated Smoked Negroni, made with Seedlip Spice 94, rose syrup and Palo Santo bitters and served under a smoke-filled dome.
The restaurant also serves twists on classics including the alcohol-free Dirty Sprite and Peshawari Mule.
Khan Saab is open seven days a week from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Guests can enjoy this dining experience for lunch or dinner at 229 East Commonwealth Avenue in downtown Fullerton.
