Bristol Farms’ Upcoming Hatch Chile Season

08.12.22

Hatch Heads can rejoice because it’s that time of year again for the Hatch Chile and Bristol Farms annual Hatch Chile Festival, starting on August 13. As the summer heats up, the premiere Southern California gourmet grocer will really bring the heat, offering fresh Hatch Chilies, a variety of Hatch grocery items, Hatch-flavored meats and seafood, freshly prepared foods all with Hatch Chiles, and a live roasting event that will take place outside the Newport Beach location on September 3.

These special chilies are grown in the New Mexico desert, which provides a unique growing climate where they thrive in the drought, growing spicier in hot and dry climates. The season is short – from August through September. As the nationwide shortage for Sriracha continues, having the Hatch Chile available will be a nice reprieve.
