Oak & Coal features Japanese skewers of organic, free range poultry, wagyu beef, free range pork, and fresh vegetables cooked slowly over Japanese oak. And, you can also enjoy a rotating tap selection of craft beers from various local breweries. The menu also includes soba noodle dishes as well as daily handmade kimchi dumplings in limited supply.
Owner Jeff Chon also runs The Alley in Newport Beach, Tabu Shabu, and The Wayfarer in Costa Mesa.
Happy Hour runs from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Enjoy 20% off food and $5 drafts and sakes.
No corkage special on wine from Caps & Corks or Hi Time Wine Cellars.
Open 5 to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; 5 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.

Little Lido Kids Club
06.12.17
At my favorite indie book store in Orange County, Lido Village Books, you can introduce your kids to their Lido Marina Village Kids Club on Thursday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Bring the kids and enjoy a reading of Escargot by Dashka Slater and Sydney Hanson, followed by an interactive sing-a-long on the patio outside of Lido Village Books. Kids can enjoy a fun snail-inspired craft and moms will love the specials from participating Lido Marina Village retailers including 10% off your book purchase at Lido Village Books and Sugarfina candy bags and $25 off purchases at Eberjey. This event is free and open to the public, but it's best to RSVP by visiting http://bit.ly/2rVkUWU. Each person who RSVPs will receive 1 entry for a drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Lido Village Books.
Can't make it? Don't worry, the Lido Marina Kids Club will be held every third Thursday of the month.
Lido Village Books is located at 3424 Via Oporto Suite 102, Newport Beach.
