Volunteers Needed At NB Film Fest

Looking to give back to the community in a fun way? The Newport Beach Film Festival seeks enthusiastic film lovers to volunteer for Orange County’s annual celebration of cinema. The 20th Annual Newport Beach Film Festival runs April 25-May 2. Volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in several aspects of the festival. Volunteer positions include guest relations, merchandise sales, theater ushering, and office reception.
3/27 - Wednesday - at NBFF office - 6:30 p.m.
4/6 - Saturday - at Newport Coast Community Center - 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
4/8 - Tuesday - at NBFF office - 6:30 p.m.
4/12 - Friday - at NBFF office - 6:30 p.m.
4/13 - Saturday - at Newport Coast Community Center - 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
4/15 - Monday - at NBFF office - 6:30 p.m.

For anyone following a ketogenic lifestyle, there’s Nui Foods, the creators of Keto Kookie are offering various keto-friendly snacks, including their extremely popular Keto Kookies. The first inspiration for the Keto Kookie began with founder Juan Altamirano’s love of baking. At the age of 8 this Santa Ana-native baked his very first cake and instantly found his passion. At 17 he enrolled in culinary school and specialized in baking and pastry making. Since then he’s been consistently moving up the culinary ladder throughout Orange County.
With his passion and for baking and necessary understanding of scientific ratios to create something delicious AND healthy, Juan has been able to research and develop the Keto Kookie recipe, and turn it into the successful product that it is today. Juan joined forces with the founders of Nui Foods, Kristoffer Quiaoit and Victor Macias, and first started the development of the Keto Kookie product line at East End Kitchens located at 4th Street Market in downtown Santa Ana.
Their team has accomplished quite a bit with the Keto Kookie, including an appearance on Shark Tank, taking their sales to the next level. Nui Foods sold over $1.7 million worth of cookies in 2018 alone. Most importantly though, Juan and his team consider their biggest success to be that they are consistently impacting people’s lives for the better through this health-conscious product.
